Taking Action as a Teacher: This week as a part of my inquiry I complied all of my data together and analyzed it. First, I looked at my daily anecdotal notes. I found that as we made progress, students who were having issues with classroom community were starting to cooperate and treat others with kindness. Next, I looked at my personal tick marks. Over time, I was able to keep my non positive phrasing under 5 incidents per day. Finally, I looked at my literature and how my actions as a teacher aligned with the actions and data of researchers in this field.
Reflecting on Learning: This week I was able to draw conclusions about my inquiry. This was important for my inquiry because I was able to determine meaning from the raw data I had been collecting. I was able to prepare my analysis for my final paper where I will be able to publish my results for other preservice and inservice teacher.
Based on the data I have collected, I still wonder what tools can I give my CT to keep up with the community we have built as I begin to release responsibility.
